Al Mamun is an economist and statistician with over a decade of experience in applied research, policy analysis, and institutional leadership. He currently serves as Executive Director and Research Fellow at the Center for Policy and Economic Research (CPER), where he leads initiatives on climate resilience, food security, labor market dynamics, and sustainable development.
He holds advanced degrees in Economics and Applied Statistics from East West University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Mathematics at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. His professional journey includes senior research roles at Emerging Credit Rating Limited and consultancy engagements with East West University’s Center for Research and Training.
Mamun has authored peer‑reviewed articles and working papers on wage inequality, remittances, foreign investment, and macroeconomic growth, and has contributed to international projects spanning gender, migration, and environmental policy. His expertise extends to feasibility studies, industry assessments, and donor‑funded research collaborations with government, academia, and the private sector.
He is affiliated with M&S Research Hub in Germany and is proficient in advanced statistical software, including STATA, R, SPSS, and NVivo. Through his work, Mamun is committed to advancing evidence‑based policy and fostering inclusive, sustainable development in Bangladesh and beyond.
