Nusrat Jahan Jasy is a Research Intern at the Center for Policy and Economic Research (CPER), bringing a strong academic foundation in development studies and practical field experience. She holds a BSS (Hons.) in Development Studies, graduating with distinction and ranking second in her department, for which she received multiple Dean’s Awards for academic excellence. She is currently pursuing her Professional Master’s in Governance and Development Studies at Jahangirnagar University.
Nusrat’s professional background includes roles with leading national and international organizations, including Oxfam in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), Caritas Bangladesh, and World Vision Bangladesh. Through these positions, she has developed robust skills in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including survey design, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), data collection and management, project monitoring, community coordination, and report writing.
Nusrat’s research interests are centered on critical development issues, with a particular focus on gender equality, public health and nutrition, education, sustainable livelihoods, and the welfare of marginalized communities. She is highly motivated to contribute to research that informs policy and practice for inclusive social progress.
