Arfun Ara is a Research Associate at the Center for Policy and Economic Research (CPER). She holds an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from East West University and a B.Sc. in Statistics from the National University of Bangladesh.
She has experience in research methodology, data collection and analysis, literature review, monitoring and evaluation, and report preparation. She is skilled in using SPSS, R, and Excel for statistical analysis and data management. Her background also includes teaching, student mentoring, academic counseling, and stakeholder engagement, which have strengthened her communication and coordination skills.
At CPER, she supports research and analytical activities, with a focus on data-driven research and evidence-based decision-making. She is interested in applying statistical and research methods to address development and economic issues in Bangladesh.
